Q- What are the system requirements to run WinCruise Professional?
A- System Requirements:

· Windows® 2000 Professional, NT 4.0 SP6a, XP Professional, XP Home, ME or 98SE
· Intel ® Pentium ® II 300MHz or higher processor
· 128 MB of RAM
· 90 MB of available hard disk space (for complete installation)
· Microsoft ® Internet Explorer 5.5 with MSIE Service Pack 2 or later

Bulk email & Email invoicing supported for most standard POP3 compatible email client, including;
· Microsoft ® Outlook ® Express 4.0/5.x
· Microsoft Outlook XP/2000/98/97
· Netscape ® Messenger 4.X, Netscape Mail 6.0
· Eudora ® Light 3.0, Eudora Pro 4.0, Eudora 5.0

Some optional components such as WinCruise Remote, Cruise Booking or Insurance Booking engines require the latest Microsoft Internet Tools including IE ver 5.5 or newer with SSL capabilities

 

Q- What are the system requirements to run WinCruise Remote?
A- At a minimum, you must have a dedicated server running Windows 2000/2003 Server edition.

Q- Do I need to be connected to the Internet to run WinCruise?
A- A constant connection to the internet is not necessary for the program to function, however some features may be limited. You will need to have some online access to be able to download updates.

Q- How secure is my data?
A- Your data is as secure as your computer – everything is stored locally, not on the Internet. You should always make sure to have the latest virus scanners and firewalls installed!

Q- I use ABC Insurance, and I don’t see them listed as a partner, can I still use WinCruise?
A- WinCruise can accommodate any insurance vendor. The partners where we have an interface simply allows for pricing and booking directly via WinCruise.

Q- I sell all different types of travel, not just Cruise. Can I still use WinCruise?
A- Absolutely! With WinCruise you can track any travel booking – whether it be Cruise, Air, Land, Car etc.

Q- Can WinCruise be used to make online bookings?
A- WinCruise is primarily a customer, booking and agency management system, not an online booking tool. However, WinCruise does provide an interface to Amadeus Cruise – a free web-based online booking tool.

Q- Is there any way to convert data from my previous system into WinCruise?
A- We provide, at no charge, a conversion utility from many other travel systems. We may also be able to convert or import your data from other programs, depending on the system and format.

Q- Does WinCruise Professional help with group management?
A- WinCruise is acknowledged as having the best group inventory management system in the industry. From partial room bookings, to manifests, to full group accounting, WinCruise will save you days of administration time!

Q- What about Accounting, does WinCruise help?
A- WinCruise handles all accounting related to your travel sales including commission payments and remittances. There are also several accounting interfaces available, at no charge, that allow you to import your WinCruise data into several popular accounting packages, including Quickbooks.

Q- How does WinCruise help me market to my customers?
A- With WinCruise you can query your customer list by virtually any criteria you want – using any number of marketing qualifiers or past booking history.

Q- Does WinCruise allow you to restrict what some users can view or do within the system?
A- Yes, there is a sophisticated security system that allows you to determine how much, or how little, any one user can see or do.

Q- What sort of reports are available within WinCruise Professional?
A- You can build reports based on any client or booking criteria. WinCruise also includes over a dozen “quick reports” that allows you to instantly see the most commonly requested information with the click of a button!
